This week, Y6 have focused on recycling and the effects of this on our school, at home, the wider community and the planet.

During our P4C session, we looked at the story stimuli ‘A Place For Plastic’ which outlines issues we are facing due to the increasing single use of plastics and how this is polluting our seas and harming sea life.

As a class, we voted and agreed on our question – ‘How will pollution ever end?’ We held a class discussion where children contributed with interesting points such as what we can do to prevent this and what measures we have taken already to reduce the use of plastics.

Well done Y6 – you have made a great start and identified some ways forward that we can pass on to our school councillors to help roll out to the wider school community.
