EYFS Level 6 EYFS Practitioner with SEND Specialism
Salary: Dependent on experience
Hours: 32.5 hours term time only
The Governors are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, L6 qualified and experienced EYFS Practitioner to join our highly committed team. This opportunity comes at an exciting time for the school as there are plans to open a resource provision to support pupils with SEND in Early Years. The role of L6 practitioner with expertise in autism and communication interaction plays a crucial role in supporting children with autism and communication difficulties within early years and KS1 settings. With specialised knowledge and skills to effectively address the unique learning and developmental needs of these children, fostering their growth and inclusion in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Candidates must hold a Level 6 qualification or equivalent and ideally have at least 2 years current experience of working within an EYFS setting or with SEND children.
It is essential that you possess the following:-
- Experience of leading a team.
- Experience of the SEND Code of Practice.
- Experience working with EYFS aged pupils in a school environment.
- Experience of working with children who have SEND needs.
- A passion for supporting children with SEND.
- Knowledge and understanding of Autism and Sensory needs.
- Expert knowledge of behaviour management
- Specialist skills which will provide significant benefit to the school- Please state your specialist skills on your application.
- Have sound knowledge of classroom roles and responsibilities
- Be enthusiastic with excellent interpersonal skills
- Be able to forge excellent relationships with staff and children and maintain a good sense of humour at all times!

Volunteers
We are always seeking to appoint highly motivated volunteers to join our vibrant and highly committed staff team. This could be a great opportunity for someone wanting to start out in the teaching sector before going on to other qualifications or someone wanting to give back to the community for a few days per week.
We always look for regular volunteers who could keep to the same times each week if possible. Volunteers would support with administrative duties as well as support teaching & learning.
