Class 6 learn about tints, tones and shades using paints that they haven’t used since KS1 – powder paints.
After learning about the colour wheel and exploring mixing tints, shades and tones, the children in class 6 practise their colour mixing.
Moving from experimenting with primary colours, and creating secondary colours, the children then created different colours by adding white as a tint. As a challenge, the children then added black to create a range of deeper tones.
