Artist Study in Class 6

As part of our new topic, we are learning about ‘extreme weather changes’, the children in class 6 have started analysing works that have used a range of media and impressions of changing weather.

The children have analysed how the contrast of colour and layering of tone attracts the eye, and looked at how Bob Barker and Laurence Stephen Lowry have used contrasting colours within their various art works.

We then practised using layering of tone and blending similar colour schemes to represent changing weather and imitate samples of this art work. Take a look at the children’s artist studies…
