As part of a project that Roughwood is involved in called ‘Multiply’, parents and carers were able to join us once again in school to learn about how we teach maths through song in EYFS.

With adults, children were able to create a music box full of nursery rhymes. Take a look at their creations…

Parents and carers learnt some of the strategies children use and how best to support their child in learning maths through song and nursery rhymes; particularly learning and recalling songs that include number. Over the next few months, there will be more sessions for other year groups to attend sessions in school. Please keep an eye out for more dates and further information.
