Drama and Movement in Literacy through History

In our history lessons, we’ve been learning about the Spanish Armada and where it sailed after leaving Lisbon.

During these lessons, the children were expected to use powerful facial expressions, specific body language and movements to depict how the fleet moved from Spain and then through the English Channel, and take on the British Navy.

During our ‘rehearsal to performance process’, the children have been using drama to explain the journey which the fleet took to assist with their explanation test.

See if you can work out which fleet had the largest cannons, and which army was more successful with a greater defeat…
