In Acorns we have been looking at very special superheroes, people who help us.
Acorns have loved learning about firefighters and the incredible ways they keep us safe. The classroom has been alive with the children’s creativity.
They practised cutting and sticking to make helmets
The children loved role playing. They dressed up as firefighters and pretended to put out fires.
We also drew fires outside with chalks and used squirts bottles to put them out.
We painted firefighters but we used our hands as well as a paintbrush!!!!! It was very messy.
Finally we learnt that the siren and lights are called “Blues and twos” and most important the number you call in a real emergency is 999.
