In Literacy , Year 6 explored WW2 evacuation through drama. Using multiple freeze frames, we showed an evacuee’s thoughts and feelings at different moments of the journey.
Careful use of body language and facial expressions helped portray mixed emotions such as fear, sadness and hope. The activity encouraged strong empathy and deeper understanding, supporting pupils in writing with greater emotional detail.
