This week children became space scientists, engineers and programmers as they designed and programmed robots to imitate the journey of the Hubble Space Telescope.
Working in teams, the children created their very own space track, programming their robots to travel away from the Sun and visit all the planets in our Solar System. 🌍🪐
Each group was responsible for researching and creating a different planet. They filled their planet with interesting facts, information and key features, helping our robotic telescope understand where it was on its journey through space.
The children had to think carefully about coding, sequencing, problem-solving and teamwork to make sure their robots followed the correct route and reached each planet.
It was fantastic to see the children combining their knowledge of space and science with computing and engineering skills to create their own interactive model of our Solar System.
🌟 Mission accomplished! The children successfully programmed their robotic telescope to navigate its way through our Solar System while learning lots of fascinating facts along the way.
