As part of our RE learning, we have been diving deep into the story of baby Moses and his brave journey down the River Nile. The children have loved exploring this classic tale, discussing how Moses’ mother sent him down the river. He then met the Pharaohs daughter who raised him as one of her own.
To bring the story to life we rolled up our sleeves and got incredibly creative by painting the Nile. First, the children used watercolours to paint versions of the River Nile, making sure to add plenty of tall river reeds. Once the paint was dry, we carefully cut a line through the middle of the river. Finally, the children colored in a picture of baby Moses in his basket, attached it to a lollipop stick, and slotted it into the cut. The children then retold the story with their artwork.
