What an amazing day we’ve had today with ‘Casting Innovations’ in a live workshop at one of our local academy schools.
The children in class 4 and 5 walked to Rockingham Junior and Infant School and we watched the process of turning our fimo hearts into a different texture.
The children observed how molten aluminium (heated to 1020 degrees) could create our silver hearts, and observed Mr Brooks carefully pour the liquid metal into the clay mould.
