With the lovely weather on our side, Year 5 took their Arithmetic Friday learning outdoors and enjoyed solving maths challenges in the fresh air and sunshine.
The children applied their arithmetic knowledge and skills to a fun and engaging code breaker challenge, using their understanding of the four operations and place value to solve a series of calculations and uncover hidden messages.
Working collaboratively, the children demonstrated excellent problem-solving skills, perseverance and mathematical reasoning as they tackled each clue and checked their answers carefully.
Learning outdoors provided a fantastic opportunity to combine physical activity with learning, and the children thoroughly enjoyed putting their arithmetic skills to the test in a different environment. Well done, Year 5, for your teamwork, determination and excellent maths thinking!
