Year 6 explore generosity in P4C πŸͺ™πŸ’­

Today we have dove into a thought-provoking P4C session centred on the biblical story of the Widow’s Mite. By looking closely at the story, the children challenged themselves to think beyond face value, exploring big themes like generosity, monetary worth and personal sacrifice.

Using their best critical thinking skills, the class debated what truly gives a gift its value. They collaborated brilliantly, listened respectfully to different viewpoints and showed impressive reflection throughout the discussion.

We then created our own philosophical questions in true P4C style. After a class vote, the winning inquiry was: β€œShould we judge someone by how much fortune they give?”
