Year 5 Explore Global Warming and Climate Change Through Art

Our Year 5 children have been developing their understanding of global warming and climate change and have explored how these important issues affect our planet and future generations.

To showcase their learning, the children were invited to express their ideas, knowledge and feelings through art. They were given the freedom to choose both the medium and the message they wanted to share, resulting in a wonderful variety of creative outcomes.

Some children chose to paint or draw powerful images of the Earth’s changing environment, while others used collage, sculpture and mixed media to represent the impact of pollution, rising temperatures and the importance of protecting our world.

The project encouraged the children to think carefully about environmental issues while celebrating creativity and individuality. We were incredibly impressed by the thoughtful discussions, imaginative ideas and artistic talents on display throughout the work.

Well done, Year 5, for using your creativity to raise awareness of such an important global issue.
