Magic, movement and mirrors: Our week with Princess Eliza.

It’s been a sparkly week in the LEAF as we have explored the class text The princess and the Wizard by Julia Donaldson.

Magic Making

No wizarding story is complete without a little bit of magic. There was plenty of sparkle as everyone designed a wand unique to them.

We took our PE out into the fresh air for a special mission. We set up an obstacle course and pretended to be Princess Eliza escaping the Wizard.

In our sensory session we focused on the vibrant colours from the story. We used our fine motor skills to squeeze, stir and swirl the paints together.

During our ELSA session we slowed down to think about how Princess Eliza must have felt. To help us understand these emotions we practised pulling our best happy and sad faces before painting our very own self portraits.
