Today in numeracy, the Chestnuts explored sharing equally with our class bear Ralph and his friend Denzel. The bears were going on a picnic and needed help sharing out their treats fairly. The children gave the bears one treat at a time until there were no treats left, then counted how many treats each bear had to make sure they both had the same amount. The children really enjoyed helping the bears and were great at taking turns and counting carefully.
