Crunchy carrots

We found some carrots and potatoes in our provision.

We also have them for snack because they are healthy. We thought it would be a good idea to grow our own so we could eat them.

We talked about what they would need to grow. We agreed on soil, water and lots of sunshine.

First we put soil in our pot.

Next we pinched the seeds and sprinkled them on the soil.

Then we covered them up with more soil.

We watered them carefully.

Last we put them in the sun.

We have looked after them all week and now they have started to grow. We are taking them home to see who can grow the biggest and crunchiest carrot.
