Class 5 Crack the Code of the Water Cycle!

Class 5 have turned into super scientists and geographers as we dived deep into the science behind our weather! 🌍
We started by looking at weather maps and investigating how clouds are formed. The children learned all about evaporation (when liquid water warms up and turns into invisible water vapour) and condensation (when water vapour cools down to form liquid droplets and clouds!). We also carried out investigations to see how temperature affects the rate of evaporation, discovering that the warmer it is, the faster water turns into vapour! ☀️🌡️
To see the water cycle in action right inside our classroom, every pupil created their very own “Water Cycle in a Bag” experiment! 🧪💧 By sealing water inside decorated ziplock bags and sticking them up on our sunny windows, we created mini ecosystems. Now, the children can watch real life evaporation, condensation and precipitation happen before their eyes! Well done Class 5!
