As part of the build up to science week, the children in class 4 applied their learning about friction by investigating magnets.
After children found out that that opposite poles attract, whereas similar poles repelled, the children also found that all of the materials that were magnetic were metal, but interestingly, not all metals were magnetic!
This week, the children were set the challenge to investigate which magnet would attract the largest amount of paper clips. A common prediction was that the largest size magnet device would attract the largest number of paper clips. Take a look at the children’s results…
