In today’s Year 6 science lesson, we learned about the components of blood using sweets! We used water for plasma (55%), sweets for red blood cells (44%), and small amounts of marshmallows and sprinkles for white blood cells and platelets (0.5% each).
We then put everything into a jar and learned how each part helps keep our bodies alive, from carrying oxygen to fighting infection and helping blood clot. A fun and memorable lesson!
