Year 3 have been busy developing their watercolour skills in preparation for their upcoming artwork inspired by the work of L. S. Lowry.
The children practised creating different watercolour washes, experimenting with how much water and paint they needed to create lighter and darker shades. They carefully observed how the paint moved across the paper and enjoyed exploring the effects they could achieve in their sketch books.
This practical session helped the children to build confidence and develop the artistic techniques they will need when creating their own artwork in the style of L. S. Lowry during the next lesson. We are looking forward to seeing their finished pieces!
