This week in Class 2, our classroom didn’t just feel like a school it felt like a trip to the seaside. We have been diving deep into the world of sensory poetry and the results were spectacular. Before we could perform, we had to become wordsmiths. We closed our eyes and imagined we were standing right on the edge of the shore. The children worked hard to use expanded noun phrases and onomatopoeia to make their poems come to life. Using our green screen, we transported the students from our carpet directly onto a sunny beach! While wearing their costumes and using the props they performed the poem with expression and flare!
