This week, the children have been enjoying the story ‘Oh Dear’, which follows a young boy named Buster as he visits his Grandma on the farm. In the story, Buster is sent to collect eggs for breakfast. Along the way he meets lots of different farm animals before finally finding the eggs in the henhouse.
To bring the story to life, we decided to take part in our own egg themed activity during snack time. The children carefully spread butter onto slices of bread before helping to chop boiled eggs and place them on top.
It was lovely to see the children so engaged and being so independent. Some children loved the eggs and described them as delicious, while others discovered that they were not to their taste. We were proud of everyone for taking part and trying something new.
