As part of our learning about the Victorians, and roles, jobs and responsibilities of the past, the year 3 children visited Abbeydale Industrial Hamlet.
We learnt about different jobs such as grinders, teemers and ‘puller outs’. The children were able to see one of the last furnaces still in existence from the Victorian Era.
We were able to look around the counting house, crucible furnace and the managers house.
