​Today in the LEAF, we got a head start on Shrove Tuesday with a delicious, heart-themed celebration! Our kitchen was buzzing as the children prepared for a very special Pancake Day.
​In honor of Valentine’s Day and the British Heart Foundation’s “Wear Red” initiative, we decided to give our batter a festive makeover. By adding a splash of pink food coloring, our pancakes weren’t just tasty—they were a vibrant tribute to heart health awareness!
Tossing, Topping, and Testing
​The children took center stage as junior chefs, showing off their skills in:
- ​Precision Decorating: Carefully selecting and arranging their favorite treats.
- The Big Flip: Having a go at tossing their pancakes (with some impressive heights reached and some heads!) .
- Supporting Charity: Learning about the importance of “wearing red” for the British Heart Foundation.
