Over the last week, the children in class 4 have used unifix cubes to help them identify and compare fractions.
By using their fraction walls, knowledge of the denominator and deeper understanding of the numerators, children have been comparing fractions and reasoning with fraction questions. They’ve been spotting where Tiny the Turtle has made a mistake, and taken the role as ‘maths doctor’ to diagnose a range of calculation problems
