Class 1 trip to Conisbrough Castle

Today Class 1 went on an adventure to visit a real life castle. We all eagerly boarded the coach and set off to Conisbrough to visit their castle. We started our day with a workshop where we learnt all about the castle, when it was built and who used to live there. Some of us got to dress up and pretend to be the different people. We all got a go at completing and small activity with our friends to prepare for the visit of the king. All the children really engaged and enjoyed our workshop.

We then ventured into the castle, we explored all of the different rooms and climbed the steep (& slippy) stairs carefully to reach the very top. We were all ever so brave when we were at the top and made all of our grownups proud by being extra careful and brave walking back down the steps. We were all so excited to see all of the features we have been learning about in school!
