Today, Chestnuts went on their first school trip to Wentworth Farm! We were all so excited when we got on the big coach and could not wait to get to the farm. When we arrived, we were able to be a farmer for the day. We brushed Strudel the shetland pony, fed and petted the rabbits and guinea pigs, then we got to collect the eggs from the chicken coop. After a busy morning being farmers, it was time for dinner. Our packed lunches were delicious! The kind farm ladies gave us lots of bags of feed so we could feed the other animals at the farm, we were so brave holding our hands out flat for the animals to eat. We loved feeding the goats and the massive alpaca, they even tried to eat the bag!! To finish our day, we played on the big pirate ship play area, we were so brave climbing to the top of the ship up the huge rope ladder. At the end of the day, we were absolutely exhausted so we collected our things and headed for the coach home. Our teachers at school are so proud of us because we were well mannered, well behaved and even thanked the coach driver as we got off! We cannot wait for our next school trip…
