At Roughwood Primary School, we are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their starting point, achieves their full potential. Our 2025 results reflect a sustained trend of exceptional performance, particularly in our Key Stage 2 outcomes where our pupils consistently outperform national averages.

Roughwood is ranked in the top 5th percentile nationally for the percentage of pupils reaching the Expected Standard in Reading, Writing, and Maths combined.
Our Reading attainment (96.3%) places the school in the top 5th percentile nationally for the second consecutive year.
We saw a substantial 18.6% increase in the number of pupils achieving the Higher Standard in Mathematics this year, rising to 33.3%.
Early Years & Phonics
Building strong foundations in early literacy is a key priority at Roughwood.
EYFS Good Level of Development (GLD): 62% of our pupils achieved a Good Level of Development.
Year 1 Phonics Check: 74% of pupils passed the Phonics Screening Check.
Multiplication Tables Check (Year 4): 80% of pupils scored 20/25 or higher, with nearly half the cohort (49%) achieving a perfect score of 25.
