This week in Year 6, we’ve been busy stepping into the shoes of real reporters. Inspired by our class text The Giant’s Necklace, we planned and recorded news reports about the mysterious disappearance of Cherry.
We focused on the key features of news reporting: describing Cherry’s appearance, sharing her last known whereabouts, including a heartfelt family appeal, and giving clear details about who to contact.
To bring our reports to life, we used the green screen to film our broadcasts and Canva to design professional-looking templates. The children showed fantastic creativity and teamwork.
Stay tuned for the final edited videos – you won’t want to miss them!
