Y5B: Creating Times Tables Games with micro:bits 🧮

This term, our children have been busy using micro:bits to design and build their own interactive times tables games. Using variables, they stored scores and numbers, while inputs such as the micro:bit buttons allowed players to select answers and control the game.

The children programmed the micro:bits to generate multiplication questions, check answers, and give instant feedback. Along the way, they developed key computing skills including problem-solving, logical thinking, and debugging, all while reinforcing their maths learning in a fun and engaging way.

It’s been fantastic to see the children combining coding and maths to create games they can play, test, and improve themselves! 🚀
