Today, Class 5 were invited to participate in a Robotics workshop where we explored the importance of accurate programs (known as scripts) in order to program a robot to move, dance and speak.
Children started by pretending to be robots following a script that progressively had errors. We then debugged the errors and learned that not every line of code effects the overall program. After this, we unboxed Marty, our multi-servo robot. After connecting with Marty, children had time to learn how program Marty by getting him to move, dance and even speak. After learning so many skills, children were tasked with getting Marty to kick a ping pong ball in a goal and perform a celebration. Below our a few photos:
