Observational shells in pencil

Last week we went to Cleethorpes. We spotted lots of different shells in the sand. When we got back to school we noticed lots of shells in provision.

We looked carefully at the shells and talked about the differences. We then chose one to draw using just a pencil.
We are also working hard at using the correct pencil grip and sitting properly at the table.
Some of us even tried shading for the first time.
We worked hard and even though drawing with just a pencil was really tricky, we showed great resilience and didn’t give up.
