This year’s Mental Health Week was focused on Community.
Being part of a safe, positive community is vital for our mental health and wellbeing. We thrive when we have strong connections with other people and supportive communities that remind us we are not alone.
On Monday we started with connecting with our community – we used conversation starters to connect, talk and share stories with our friends and peers.
On Tuesday we focused on giving back to our community – we used compliment cards to bring a smile to members of our school community.
Wednesday’s focus was being active – playing exciting physical games with our Sports Leaders.
Thursday’s focus was to take notice of your community – we completed nature scavenger hunts in our playgrounds
Learning new things was our focus for Friday – We tried new games on the yard, which were enjoyed by all!
We have had an excellent week and have thought about how special our school community is and how best to look after our mental health!
