To challenge children with their multiplication timestables, they were given the opportunity to carry out an investigation with their partner in maths.
Year 3 children were incredibly resilient and they managed to find more than they thought they could.
Similar to a word search, the children were given the chance to complete a ‘factor search’ where they were searching for two factors to multiply together to equal a product, and then after completion, search for a dividend, divide by a divisor and then equal a quotient.
