The children reflected on how the boy in the story rubbed out unkind and negative things and replaced them with positive changes. This inspired lots of curiosity and imaginative thinking, and the children worked together to generate a range of thoughtful questions.
After voting, the class chose the question “How could I change the world?” and shared many wonderful ideas. They were then challenged to think about what they could do right now to make a difference. The children decided to litter pick around the school grounds to help make the environment cleaner and more welcoming. Back in class, they created eye-catching posters to display around school, reminding everyone to make positive choices and look after our environment.
