This week, the children used drama to deepen their understanding of the Spanish Armada. Working in groups, they created their own scripts for a “Tudor news interview”, bringing history to life through performance.
The children took on the roles of Queen Elizabeth I, Sir Francis Drake, and Tudor news reporters, asking and answering questions about the events of 1588. Through acting, discussion, and role play, they explored key moments, decisions, and viewpoints from the time.
Drama helped the children build confidence, develop speaking and listening skills, and gain a clearer understanding of this important period in history — all while having lots of fun stepping back into Tudor times! 🎭
