Today, our Year 6’s became keen historians when completing a historical enquiry, studying different themes through the years 1960 – 1990. As groups, we analysed multiple pieces of evidence from each decade, focusing specifically on: fashion, sport, music and technology and discussed the changes through each era, presenting our ideas as a collaborative ‘mood board’.
The children were able to make links of how attitudes in Britain changed from after the war to these time periods.
In our next lesson, we will choose a particular strand that interests us and collect research to eventually present our findings in a final outcome!
