Year 6 have been exploring a range of painting techniques using both acrylic and watercolour. In our sketchbooks, we practised skills such as wet-on-wet, wet-on-dry, washes, and mark making to create different textures. We then experimented with layering watercolour and acrylic together to see the unique effects of mixed media. These explorations will support us in creating our final seascape pieces, inspired by the work of artists Emily Ward and Joanne Wish.
