Today children took their DT learning outdoors. Children looked at a variety of practical and decorative stitching within textiles.
Children decided that a blanket stitch looked the best to create a sturdy seam for our survival bags so decided to practice out in the outdoor environment.
It was incredibly difficult and children showed fantastic resilience – with some even opting to use this stitch when making their own survival bag!
