In Literacy, we used Talk for Writing to help us learn and remember each line of a diamond poem. We looked at the different word classes in the poem and used pictures to represent each type of word. We drew these pictures on our whiteboards and then created actions to match them.
Next, we used our pictures and actions to help us orally rehearse the poem as a class. We followed the text map and practised saying the poem out loud. Finally, we all performed it together with confidence and enthusiasm!
