In PSHE we had a special visitor… Mr Hunter’s mum! She is currently a teacher at a deaf specialist school in Doncaster but luckily had the time to visit our school today. She shared her journey with being deaf and how she became a teacher. Then she showed us how to sign simple greetings which we hope to use in school to support our scaling. Afterwards, we learned how to show our name by using the alphabet. It was amazing to see the children showing this to their parents/carers after school! We cannot wait until our next sessions.
