Today, Class 2 had a very special visitor – Mr Kennedy’s cat, Bagheera! We used Bagheera as a stimulus to help us write our own diamond poems.
Working in groups, we thought of nouns, adjectives, and verbs to describe Bagheera’s appearance and behaviour. Together, we created a word mat to support us with our writing. Then, we used this scaffold to write our own diamond poems independently. The children really enjoyed this creative activity and were excited to write about a real-life animal they had met!
