This week we have been reading a story from the Percy the Park Keeper collection called ‘After the Storm’. In our story, the big, oak tree which is home to lots of woodland animals is destroyed by the raging storm.
When Percy finds the tree, all of his animal friends are sad and homeless. To help Percy comes up with a fantastic idea to build a new home suitable for everyone.
We created our own home today. Miss Whittington drew a tree trunk and some branches in the flour shower, then we went outside to collect leaves to create a collaborative piece of work. We used our teamwork skills to place the leaves correctly on the tree. We think we made a fantastic home for the animals!
