This week in gardening club, we have been learning about the harvest festival and the importance of the crops from this time of year, especially crops such as pumpkins, potatoes and squash.

We also decorated some pumpkins with faces and religious quotes before trying some roasted pumpkin!

We ended our celebration by playing a traditional game of Conkers (horse-chestnut) and discussing interesting uses of the non-edible chestnut such as making clothing detergent.
