NRICH Maths – Spiralling decimals in Y6

Children in Y6 have put their problem solving skills to the test when completing the spiralling decimals challenge from NRICH.

We had to think logically of where we would place each decimal on the spiral for it to be as accurate as possible.

The children were extremely creative with this! We used string to measure out the length of the spiral and from there could work out 0.5, 0.25, 0.1 and so on…

Well done Y6 for having a go and for thinking outside of the box!
