Children in Science club created their very own lava lamps using water, vegetable oil, effervescent tablets and food colouring. They then predicted how many extra effervescent tablets would make the lava lamp “explode” like a volcano.

They also then looked at a little experiment that involved card or tissue and a glass of water. Children learnt that they were able to hold the water upside down and air tight using just the card or water.

We had lots of fun and can’t wait for more super science next week.
