This afternoon, our Y6 children have had the privilege of meeting and working together with ceramic artist Caroline Lee from CLEE Ceramics!

Over the course of 3 sessions, Mrs Lee will be showing us how to create our very own clay rock pools. We have been super busy today and have learnt a basic introduction to clay, how rock-pools are constructed and how we form them out of clay. In addition to this, we have learnt key vocabulary such as ‘sculpt’, ‘slip’ and ‘score’.

We are very excited to welcome Mrs Lee back tomorrow for our second session where we will be continuing to create and sculpt miniature sea life to add to our rock pools. Take a look at some of our fantastic learning today!
