During our time at Crowden, children across Willow Tree Academy have taken part in a range of deeper thinking maths activities.
At Roughwood Primary School, we value the importance of ‘away from the desk’ learning. As part of our offering, theses children were selected as high level problem solvers and have spent two days at Crowden Activity Centre in the Peak District with other children across the academy.
These challenges have included maths with archery, crate stacking with volume and measurement, and fractions with capacity.
Look at the resilience with these children as they approach SATS week. We could not be more proud of your team work and resilience towards maths whilst you’ve been away from home.
