We have had a fabulous week in Little Acorns. We have been reading the text Noisy Farm by Rod Campbell and using this as a stimulus for our learning about farms.
We made a Tractor in the construction area outside and sang the nursery rhyme ‘wheels on the tractor go round and round’.

In our Barnaby Bear groups, we have been learning the names of farm animals. We have been practising naming the animals and making the animal sounds. On our welly walk we used water guns to identify and spray the animals.

We have been pretending to be Farmers to develop our fine motor skills. We milked the cow and cleaned the dirty animals which were covered in chocolate delight.

We made sheep biscuits. We covered biscuits in icing sugar and added marshmallows to represent the sheep’s wool. We made the ears using chocolate buttons and sweet for their eyes. Afterwards, we ate the biscuits for snack. They were delicious!
